Last night was absolutely incredible. Let me tell you every detail about it even thought none of you will care, So yesterday I saw Beach House in concert at the Bowery Ballroom, which was just amazing. I went alone and wound up meeting a group of really awesome people and we were all up against the stage the whole show. Before the show we met Victoria Legrand, who was the fucking sweetest person I have ever met. She took pictures with all of us and signed my album and I showed her my eye tattoo that was inspired by their new song ‘The Hours’ and she loved it. She told me eyes were a big inspiration for the new album which made me even more excited about my tattoo. She said there was a secret to the album artwork for Bloom but said she couldn’t tell us. After the show I stuck around to meet Alex and when he came out he signed my album and told me he saw me in the front row and thanked me for having so much energy. Then he called Vicki over and she said “You again!” and told Alex “shes been here since 12pm! I hope the show was worth waiting a bagillion hours” and also said she saw me standing right against the stage in front of her and said it meant a lot to her that i was in the front and it made her happy to see me having so much fun with people i had just met. Here I thought I was crazy swearing Vicki kept looking at me during the show and it turns out SHE WAS. She told Alex how I had “this awesome eye tattoo” and made me show him, which he also loved. I took a polaroid of each of them during the show and told them I had some “shitty polaroids of them” but when i showed them Vicki grabbed hers and said “These aren’t shitty! They’re awesome! Alex look at mine! I love the stripes it looks so 90’s ha!” Then she looked at me and said “Come here little one you need to relax, so do I” and gave me a big hug and proceeded to keep her arm around me while she spoke about being annoyed that so many press people were at the show and it made them realize no more press is invited to shows, and she looked me dead in the eyes and said that she learned a lot at the show tonight because of me and again thanked me for being there. Alex asked if there were any songs they didn’t play that I would like to hear when they come back in July. I just wanted to hear The Hours so I had no complaints. As they were leaving I told them I was excited for Letterman because they’re performing friday and I asked if they were excited to be on with The Dictator. They both started laughing and Vicki said “I kinda hope we get abused by The Dictator wouldn’t that be great!?” And they were off and I died a little inside. The simple fact that this band had been a part of my life for 3 years, and I finally met them to find they are the fucking sweetest, most down to earth people out there makes me appreciate and connect with their music on a level I can’t even explain for myself! Thank you Vicki and Alex, you truly gave me a night I will never ever forget.

I can’t tell you how happy/jealous I am that my friend met Beach House last night!!! I can’t wait to try and meet them in Boston with her in the fall!!!
